It\u2019s so easy that pretty much anyone can learn to do it, and that\u2019s the best thing about it. You have control over how profitable your business will be. Your efficacy in applying the strategies mentioned would decide how successful you are. Gradually, you will also learn the ins and OUTs of the trade, and this will boost your income further. All of that, however, comes later. Right now, we must start with some baby steps.<\/div>
Creating an Amazon Seller<\/a> Central account is your first step to starting your business. The process is pretty straightforward. Amazon has given helpful tips<\/a> to get you through it easily, and you don\u2019t need to follow anything else. I\u2019ll simplify the process for you here:<\/div>
1.   <\/span>Open the following URL in your web browser\u201d  sellercentral.amazon.com.<\/div>
2.  <\/span>There will be a login page. When you click on the \u201cRegister Now\u201d button on the login panel, it will take you to a different page.<\/div>
3.   <\/span>The first thing you have to do here is to choose whether you will be selling as an \u201cIndividual\u201d or as a \u201cProfessional. Let\u2019s take a look at the differences between these two.<\/div>
a.    <\/span>An Individual seller can only sell a maximum of 40 items in a month. A Professional seller, on the other hand, can sell any number of items in a month. There are no restrictions.<\/div>
b.    <\/span>An Individual seller is charged a commission of 99 cents on each item that he sells. There\u2019s no monthly fee in this case. As opposed to that, a Professional seller pays a monthly fee of $39.99. In both the cases, you may have to pay some additional fees at times, like referral fees & variable closing fees.<\/div>
c.    <\/span>Professional sellers can sell items in all categories available on Amazon. Individual sellers can\u2019t do that. They\u2019re allowed to sell in only limited number of categories. So it\u2019s advisable that you go with the \u201cProfessional\u201d plan for your business.<\/div>
4.    <\/span>Once you choose a plan, you will have to read a seller agreement and sign it.<\/div>
5.    <\/span>Print out this agreement before you go any further. This will help you iron out any issues in the future. Once you\u2019ve read it, agree to the terms and conditions, and then proceed further.<\/div>
6.   <\/span>In the next window, you will need<\/a> to fill in some important information, like your credit card details, billing address, seller name, and your business address.<\/div>
7.    <\/span>After this, you will need to verify your identity. A PIN will be given to you through a text or a phone-call on a number that you provide them. This is a standard procedure which many sites follow.<\/div>
8.    <\/span>A Professional seller also has to provide the necessary tax information to Amazon in order to proceed.<\/div>
9.    <\/span>Once you\u2019ve provided your tax information, the registration procedure will be complete and you\u2019ll be taken to the home page of your Seller Central account. From here, you can manage all activities in your account.<\/div>
There are several tabs in the top navigation bar of your home page. Let\u2019s walk-through some of these tabs.<\/div>
1.   <\/span>Inventory: You can add new products and manage existing ones from here.<\/div>
2.   <\/span>Reports: This tab lets you view all your payment reports and tax info.<\/div>
3.   <\/span>Orders: Check all the received orders and handle all the returns from here.<\/div>
4.   <\/span>Performance: All the feedback you receive from customers is shown here along with any claims made by them and other performance related information.<\/div>
5.   <\/span>Settings: In this tab, you can change any account information.<\/div><\/div><\/div>
